Dream with Us Giveaway

February 25, 2014

We are so excited that so many of you are wanting to dream together! Today I am going to dream with a friend- we are laying out her threads and hoping through our time- God would untangle them a bit and she would see things she has never seen before. That is why I wrote this book and study because we don’t always see ourselves and our lives accurately- we certainly don’t see them the way that God sees them.

If I could sit across from every one of you- I would. So we are doing the next best thing- a live book club. We will use social media yes! But we would like 8 of you to join us on video from your home (via some kind of technology that we will help you with) live and actually do the work of looking at the threads God has given you. So to find you we are doing a little giveaway below!

But first to make sure you are prepared for this Monday, here’s some stuff you need to do:

1. If you haven’t signed up yet- click here.

2. If you haven’t gotten the book, get it here , and Givingtons will give $4 to IF:Gathering to send Rwandan women to college! Um. Yes. This.

3. Read chapters 1-11. If you don’t finish by Monday don’t worry- because for the next few weeks we will be slowing down and reading only 1-3 chapters a week, so there will be time to catch up.

We will email you the link to the video chat on Monday afternoon and you can interact by posting your questions on my Facebook or Twitter using the hashtag #restlessproject.  Jamie & I will do our best to get through as many of your questions as possible LIVE.

Enter below and we want 8 of you to come on video with Jamie and I live to “conversate” one Monday night. We will dream specifically with you about your threads.

And one of you will win a book club in a box – 10 copies of Restless & a $100 visa gift card to host dinner for your club!

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Question for today:

Who knows you best? Who could dream with you and encourage you in your gifts and dreams?

  1. Easiest question all day:) My husband knows me best. He is my biggest supporter yet isn’t afraid to get in my face when he sees me getting down on myself. We keep each other accountable and support each other in our goals.

  2. My sister, for sure! She lives across the country, and she knows me well:) My mom knows me as well and could encourage me. I have a dear friend, former roommate, and coworker who would be a great encourager. I am in an odd phase of life-newly relocated, newlywed, and newly returned to faith. I am excited to participate in this book study-Restless has been a great read already. Living in a new city and working from home mean that I don’t know others with whom to gather, so I am excited to grow with others in this community. Thank you for doing this!

  3. Jennifer Hayes

I have about five that would be great to dream with if I could get them to get started on the book. I’ve done everything but buy the book for them. Guess that is my next move!! It is funny how one of these women I bump into so much more since I have started Restless. The meetings or running into are God ordained I know. She knows, just can’t get her to jump in with me. Praying it happens before Monday!!!

  4. My mom or sisters or my friend Natalie. I love this! How fun would it be to win?!?!? 🙂

  5. My sister, Alison, knows me best. She’s a gifted encourager. Plus, I have the fabulous bonus that she grew up with me and remembers ALL KINDS of weird details about our childhood. We live 1,000 miles apart, but she’ll be my go-to for this project as I try to remember my formative years!

  6. My BFF Robin Ann…we became friends as missionaries in Ecuador and now live across the US from each other and still talk every week and see each other once a year. We love dreaming and planning together.

  7. That is surprisingly a hard question to answer. So many close relationships seem to be focused on “problem fixing” instead of “future dreaming” or actual encouragement to live out our purpose. Maybe my husband? But this also makes me think I need to be the change in the relationships with my girlfriends:)

    • Kristen McGinn

My husband dreams with me! My lifegroup girls dream together and my friend Allison.

  8. My younger sister Candace. In some ways we are so similar it’s like we are twins, in others we are so different you wouldn’t think we were related. She totally gets me.

  9. I’m not sure who knows me best. I have friends I have had through the years and my mother is my best friend– they know the biggest part of who “me” has been, but I think it might be those I minister with and serve with and study with who can encourage me into new territories. Either way– sisters in Christ. Those who have heard my heart and my wants and desires. Those are the ones who can encourage me the most. One friend in particular, Allyson, never says no and always finds a way to make things happen. She is always an encouragement for me to see why I can and not why I can’t.
