Today I feel overwhelmed. Today Restless finally hits shelves and mailboxes and ipads and kindles for real. Last night we celebrated this little project with friends that feel more like sisters lately. They feel like that because… we are dreaming and risking and leading and creating and being brave together because of IF:Gathering. And this is my prayer for this book and study… that as a generation alive together- we would lead and dream and risk and create TOGETHER. That we would be FOR each other and WITH each other.

See we are not here by accident, not even kind-of.

“From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him.” Acts 17:26-27

We are here for a purpose and I am crazy restless that you and I live out our purposes…. because I know that we are set here for barely a breath…. and I want my breath to have been spent on things that never go away and sometimes that’s done in the smallest ways. These are just some of the friends I have in my life that help me live like this.

Each of these women make me more brave and they are only the ones that live close enough to be at dinner together! Some of the others who happen to be writing today about their dreams and restlessness and perhaps maybe giving away enough books- none of you have to buy it! 🙂

I love when our voices come together.

  1. Thankyou for sharing what God has shown to you. I was looking for something to listen to while I was doing some long training runs for the London marathon and God led me to Anything which had me looking forward to running hungry to hear more and then onto Restless which stopped me in my tracks so many times. God is doing something amazing in me and has truly blessed me through these two books, speaking truth after truth as if it was written just for me. I’m blown away, I’ve been restless for my whole life thankyou for helping me to discovered why.

  2. […] Jennie Allen wrote this book for us… for right now.  For every restless soul (willing to acknowledge it or not) who is desperately trying to identify the more you were made for.  This book was timely for me and I suspect it will be for you too. […]

  3. I am LIVING restless. All that I have known is being stripped away and I don’t know quite what to do, other than know that there is something I must do – God has called – to what – not quite sure. Would love to read your book.

So excited to Dream BIG for God with all of you amazing and inspiring If:Gathering ladies…as well as all those that God will put in our paths going forward. Working hard to not let good things crowd out what God has in store. Submitting to the Lord’s will and seeking His blessing for all our plans – Romans 15:29

Congrats on your book, Jennie! I love your writing and am praying God will use this book in mighty big ways…Or maybe small ways too…

  6. I have made my last excuse. My kids will see me use my gifts and talents for the God who gave me hope! I am restless for God to move in the hearts and minds of His people and for us to love better. Not so the world can see and think we were right all along but for the glory of Him!

  7. I am restless to communicate to people that God is personal, not an ideal or a principle. That the key to finding our purpose is listening for His voice in our every day lives. Congrats on the launch of your book, it is on my nightstand. Thanks for the copies you gave away at Allume. May God richly bless your journey. Though I can’t be there in person, I have many writing friends going to IF, can’t wait to hear about it afterward.

  8. Absolutely fabulous!! I’m restless with you sister!! Celebrating and excited for the journey ahead with so many women who are really ready to walk the thing out in the beautiful way God is calling them to. WE CAN DO THIS!!

Much love and lots of blessings,
