Safe People

My oldest son is headed into middle school. I remember middle school. Everyone does.

So we are going to read this book together. I want him to choose safe friends, friends that make him better but are full of grace. Ha. High hopes for middle school. Maybe bigger I want him to become a safe person.

After more than a decade in ministry, I have learned the value of such people. I have them and I praise God every day for them. They love me through the times they should be ashamed of me and gently remind me of truth, as I start to spin out. They love me unconditionally and would never use my weak times against me. In fact they remind me that those things don't define me, Christ does. Thank you- my safe friends. I could never do life without you.

Do you have safe people?

What makes someone safe?
