It is almost the New Year and something about the turning of a calendar year makes my heart race. I love looking forward, dreaming, planning, and stepping out of the accidental boxes that have erected around the way we live and the way we think.
I am so grateful for Thanksgiving this year. The world and the Church feel extra heavy lately and I think we are all just a little weary and in dire need of casserole, some football, our people–and a pause in the chaos to be grateful for what is right in front of us.
How do we, as Christians, deal with the many complicated current issues we are facing as a nation and around the world? How we respond to the major issues of our day is part of what it means to follow Jesus.
